Cutest Onesie Baby Card

Do you ever need a baby card? It's not often depending on your circle but every now and then I need one. Today's card is a baby card that I made for either a boy or a girl. I used retired designer series paper by mistake because I thought it was still available unfortunately, it is not. If you have this paper on hand, you should be good to go  but if not, you will have to substitute. The Cutest Onesie bundle is still available and is in the new catalog! I have seen some adorable cards made with this bundle. Here's my card:

That Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper has those cute little bunnies but so does the Storybook Moments DSP that is in the Online Store. This particular pack features the retiring Boho Blue cardstock, I am going to miss that color. It also coordinates with Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight. The dies make this card easy!

The Cutest Onesie bundle  is definitely all baby, isn't it?

Here is the little girl version. A disclaimer: the Countryside Inn DSP in pinks was a prize offered to demonstrators last April for bettering our best. I earned it! But you probably can't buy it unless a demonstrator is selling on her website or other selling platforms. Search Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper and maybe you can find some.

I made the baby girl version for friends who are expecting any day now. Hope they like it.

I will post the list of supplies I used but the DSP be an active link. The card layout is pretty universal but I'll post the cutting instructions.

Card Base is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
DSP layer is cut 4" x 5 1/4"

That's all I have for you this week. No video for this card. But I am confident you can figure it out!

Thanks for stopping by,
Until next time,

Attention Shoppers!

Do you like to shop? Do you have friends who like to shop? I have just the card for you (and them). My inspiration for this card is from Patty Bennett. I participated in the Crafting and Cruising adventure that she and Kurstan del de Rosario sponsored last fall. We craft while sailing along and make like sixteen projects over the time we are away. It is the most fun and I learn new things while making cards and 3D items with all the other crafters. This card is one of the ones we made.

What do you notice first about this card? It's square, for one thing. And how do you get that border around the card? That's easy-use a Stampin' Write black marker and a ruler or just freehand a line around the outside edge. It doesn't have to be perfect, mine isn't. Hint: stamp the "Happy Birthday" before drawing the border so you have a point of reference. The Full of Life designer series paper adds so much color. You can pick any piece you want but I really do like this one.

The shopping cart is die cut, no stamping needed. One trick: used adhesive sheet on the back of the cardstock for the wheel part of the cart. It makes it much easier to adhere and you don't have to mess with glue or tape runners. I caution about using it all over the basket part of the cart because you will be slipping your gifts inside the basket and it doesn't need to be stuck down except around the edges. Did you notice the wheel part looks darker? You can use the dark Summer Splash Stampin' Blends to color the Coastal Cabana cardstock! Another idea for the cart is to use the silver foil paper, it will be shiny.

Lots of coloring for the bottle, flowers and gift bag but it goes quickly and doesn't have to be detailed much. I die cut one of the circles from the current Spotlight on Nature die set that is about 2 1/2". The Deckled Die featured in my picture is retired now, sorry.

Here is the inside of the card. You will use the left over piece from cutting the front DSP. Your sentiment gets stamped on the DSP but there is still room to write a message.

These are the two cards using different circles. The Spotlight on Nature circle adds even more details with the decorative edge. The embellishments are retired but we have lots of pretty embellishments to sub in their place.

Cutting Instructions:
Card Base: Cut 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4" (boom, a square card!)
DSP layer: cut 4" x 4"
Inside Pocket 2" x 4", that's the piece that's left when you cut the front layer so no wasting of DSP!

Classic Wedding Bundle

It's almost 'wedding season.' June historically is the month for brides. I know for me, that's the month I got married. I graduated from High School the end of May and got married two weeks later. Pretty typical timing for those who want to finish school or college before tying the knot. No matter when you get married a pretty card is needed, don't you agree?

I have just the one for you. It's a pastel color scheme but it could easily be customized to any color theme. And those cans tied to the back of the car! Did you leave your reception with a bundle of clattering cans tied to the bumper?

My card features the Classic Wedding Bundle. It is an Online Exclusive. Stampin' Up!® offers different ways to shop-our traditional catalogs and online. Don't forget to look both places when shopping. The great thing about shopping online: EVERYTHING we offer is listed there! Wait, back to this card. This is a Distinktive stamp set; it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images. You don't have to color the car because the stamps do it for you. The pretty Designer Series Paper is called Country Lace DSP and is on the Last Chance list (that means it may be out of stock soon). But it would be easy to substitute.

Here is a close up of the card

Cutting Instructions for this card:
Card Base is cut 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and folded
There are two ways to cut the Designer Series Paper for the next layer:
The gray stripe can be cut 4" x 5 1/4" or you can cut pieces 1/2" x 5 1/4" and layer on each side
The Petal Pink polka dot is cut 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"
You will need small pieces of the other cardstocks to die cut.
I have used a Basic White piece inside with a small strip of the DSP along the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions.
