July's Stampin' Inspiration!

Your Stampin' Inspiration is Here!

My monthly card class was yesterday (Tuesday, July 26). It was a small group but if you missed it, you missed a really good time. Lots of stamping, talking, enjoying being creative together and going home with 5 pretty cards that were ready to send. My card classes are designed to be a variety of techniques, fun folds, and learning to use products so you can go home and make more cards or projects. I provide the card kits and you get to use my stamps and inks. You bring your own adhesives, scissors, and other favorite crafting tools. If you don't have any, I can help with that! I have adhesives on hand for purchase and we can work up an order for other tools. You really should come next month. It's scheduled already for Thursday, August 25. If you aren't on my email list, please sign up! That's the best way to stay in the know. Email me and I will sign you up.

Here is the first card that we made in July's Card Class. Isn't it pretty? I used the Happiness Abounds Suite of products on page 109 of the Annual catalog.

Now for some details: The card base is Fresh Freesia cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 /4". It is a horizontal card. I used a die from the Blossoming Happiness Dies. It has pieces that cut out completely and some that only partially cut out. You have to die cut it twice being careful to not cut off the edge. The piece of Pool Party cardstock is cut 5 1/8" x 3 7/8", just slightly smaller than the front. I applied the adhesive on the Fresh Freesia layer in the solid areas.

The label is out of the Designer Tags Dies. The sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp sets. I fussy cut the flower from one of the sheets of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. To finish it off, I tied a bow with the Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon and embellished with Glossy Dots.

This card is really pretty in person.

Here is my You Tube video that shows how I made this card.

Thanks for checking in!

I will post the second card tomorrow that I made in the video.

Sweetest Cherries Bundle Card

 Hello!

I am back today with the fourth card we made in my Stamp Club/Stamp Class in June. It is super easy and uses the Sweetest Cherries bundle on page 19 of the Annual Catalog. To see the list of supplies I used to make this card, scroll to the bottom of this post.

I made my card a Thank You card but provided the option to make it a birthday card. The sentiments are in the Sweetest Cherries stamp set.

Here's how to make the card:

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". This card is landscape orientation (horizontal). The Designer Series Paper is  HOST Reward called Design a Daydream. You can see it pictured on page 35 of the Annual Catalog. Forty-eight sheets of DSP! Isn't it pretty?  This piece is cut 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to the front.

The circle is die cut with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The cherries are punched with the Cherry Builder Punch. I used Poppy Parade, the leaves are Parakeet Party and the stems are Early Espresso. That punch takes care of business. The edges of the cherries are distressed with Poppy Parade ink and a sponge dauber. It gives them some definition.

The sentiment is stamped on a small piece of Basic White cardstock with Poppy Parade ink. You can make that label any shape you would like.
You have to open the card to see the rest of the sentiment.

I used the 2022-24 In Color Matte Dots to embellish the front. The double bow is tied with 2022-24 In Color Baker's twine. You cut two pieces long enough to tie a bow and put them together so you'll have a double bow. You tie them at the same time.

Did you see the envelope? I stamped a cherry and stem in the corner.

Here's the video on my You Tube Channel:

Cup of Tea Card

 Hello, Stampin' Friends!

Today's card is made using the beautiful Tea Boutique Suite of products. You can find them on page 13 of the Annual Catalog. To make this card, you need this suite because I used everything in the suite.

Aren't the colors so pretty? The really neat thing about them: this paper coordinates with all 5 of the new In-Colors! The base for this card is one of the card bases in the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes. I love lattice so that's probably why I chose this one. The center panel is Orchid Oasis cardstock with a piece of Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper layered on it. That helps set it off a little. I cut the label for the sentiment with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

My favorite part of this card is that little tea cup. The Teacup Dies make it easy work! And using some of our Adhesive Sheet to the back of that detail layer makes it so easy to stick the two layers together without using glue (and the mess). The lemon is stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink and die cut. Tie a bow with the Baker's Twine and adhere with a glue dot. Embellish with In-Color Matte Dots in desired colors. Decorate the inside of the card as desired. The envelope is already decorated for you.

Cutting Instructions:
Card base is cut for you
Orchid Oasis is cut 2 5/8" x 5 1/2"
Tea Boutique DSP is cut 2 3/8" x 5 1/2"
You'll need Basic White cardstock pieces big enough for label and to stamp the lemon

You could adapt this card for birthday or thinking of you, just change your sentiment.

Sale-a-bration is under way for July and August. For each $50 you order, you get to choose free products. My ordering special for July: If you order more than $50, I will send you these cute embellishments: Adhesive Backed Sequins & Gems. My Online Store is open NOW!
