This Birthday Piggy

This fun fold card is so easy to make. The stamp set is in the Annual Catalog on page 55. It's listed in the section for Kids and Baby but I'm pretty sure adults would smile if they got a card made with this stamp set. My daughter-in-law loves pigs so she would love this card.

Item Number: 159107

I have included a list of supplies for this card at the bottom of this email. If you like videos, here is my You Tube video

Here is the before picture of this card. Looks like a mess, doesn't it?

Here are the instructions:

  • Cut desired color of cardstock 4 1/4" x 7 1/2". Cut off a piece 2" x 4 1/4" from the leftover piece that you just cut. This will be the bottom of the card front.
  • Cut desired Designer Series Paper: 2 pieces at 1 3/4" x 4", these are the top and bottom pieces for the front.
  • Center Panel: basic White cardstock: cut 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" and for inside liner cut a piece 2 1/2" x 4". I used 2022-24 In Color Glimmer paper for the mat under the Basic white layer, cut                2 1/2" x 4".
  • Stamp center panel and color with Stampin' Blends before adhering to Glimmer Paper. Adhere DSP to top flap and bottom piece of cardstock. Refer to video to see how to assemble card front. The liner is hidden under the center panel.
  • Stamp inside sentiment and embellish with Fun Flowers Resin Shapes.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed this cute card. Leave a comment!

Wonderful World Stamps and Paper

Hello, August! Is it going to ever cool off? We had over an inch of rain today which is the first rain we've had in weeks. There is hope summer will taper off. I have been planning Christmas card classes. Can you believe in one sentence we talk about summer and in the next, Christmas. Good grief!

Let's talk about card making. I did my Facebook live Monday to show how to make a card using Sale-a-bration items that you can earn for free. It's called Wonderful World stamp set and Designer Series Paper. It's a bundle that you can choose with your order over $100. I used every stamp in the stamp set! There are no sentiments or words in this stamp set. "Hello" is in Biggest Wish stamp set

Here's the You Tube video link, if you'd rather watch me making this card.

For class, my ladies had a choice of Mossy Meadow or Petal Pink. For my video, I used Petal Pink.

Card Base: In this version, Petal Pink, cut 4 1/4" x 11, scored at 5 1/2"

DSP Layer: About 4 x 5 1/4", die cut with one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies

Tools: Blending Brushes, Sponge Daubers, Stylish Shapes Dies, Deckled Rectangle Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry

Techniques: Using Blending Brushes, Adding ink with Sponge Daubers

There is a list of supplies I used at the bottom of this post.

I love those Brushed Brass Butterflies, they add some bling and a hint of motion. There is one Champagne Rhinestone on the label.

For this card, I used some of the DSP to decorate the envelope flap. This card is blank inside. It can be used for a Thank You card or just a note you want to send to someone.

The only way you can get this stamp set and paper is to place an order over $100. Here are the 10 new items added to what you can select for your free item. The Sale-a-bration brochure is HERE. There are two items that are no longer available: Pool Party and Soft Seafoam Cards & Envelopes and the Tree Lot Dies. If there is something you would really, really like, don't wait too long. These are only available while supplies last.

That's all I have for you today. Let me know if you copy my card. It's called CASE: copy and share everything.

Until next time, have fun stamping!

July's Stampin' Inspiration!

Your Stampin' Inspiration is Here!

My monthly card class was yesterday (Tuesday, July 26). It was a small group but if you missed it, you missed a really good time. Lots of stamping, talking, enjoying being creative together and going home with 5 pretty cards that were ready to send. My card classes are designed to be a variety of techniques, fun folds, and learning to use products so you can go home and make more cards or projects. I provide the card kits and you get to use my stamps and inks. You bring your own adhesives, scissors, and other favorite crafting tools. If you don't have any, I can help with that! I have adhesives on hand for purchase and we can work up an order for other tools. You really should come next month. It's scheduled already for Thursday, August 25. If you aren't on my email list, please sign up! That's the best way to stay in the know. Email me and I will sign you up.

Here is the first card that we made in July's Card Class. Isn't it pretty? I used the Happiness Abounds Suite of products on page 109 of the Annual catalog.

Now for some details: The card base is Fresh Freesia cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 /4". It is a horizontal card. I used a die from the Blossoming Happiness Dies. It has pieces that cut out completely and some that only partially cut out. You have to die cut it twice being careful to not cut off the edge. The piece of Pool Party cardstock is cut 5 1/8" x 3 7/8", just slightly smaller than the front. I applied the adhesive on the Fresh Freesia layer in the solid areas.

The label is out of the Designer Tags Dies. The sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp sets. I fussy cut the flower from one of the sheets of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. To finish it off, I tied a bow with the Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon and embellished with Glossy Dots.

This card is really pretty in person.

Here is my You Tube video that shows how I made this card.

Thanks for checking in!

Need to order? My Online Store is open 24/7!

I will post the second card tomorrow that I made in the video.

Sweetest Cherries Bundle Card

 Hello!

I am back today with the fourth card we made in my Stamp Club/Stamp Class in June. It is super easy and uses the Sweetest Cherries bundle on page 19 of the Annual Catalog. To see the list of supplies I used to make this card, scroll to the bottom of this post.

I made my card a Thank You card but provided the option to make it a birthday card. The sentiments are in the Sweetest Cherries stamp set.

Here's how to make the card:

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". This card is landscape orientation (horizontal). The Designer Series Paper is  HOST Reward called Design a Daydream. You can see it pictured on page 35 of the Annual Catalog. Forty-eight sheets of DSP! Isn't it pretty?  This piece is cut 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to the front.

The circle is die cut with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The cherries are punched with the Cherry Builder Punch. I used Poppy Parade, the leaves are Parakeet Party and the stems are Early Espresso. That punch takes care of business. The edges of the cherries are distressed with Poppy Parade ink and a sponge dauber. It gives them some definition.

The sentiment is stamped on a small piece of Basic White cardstock with Poppy Parade ink. You can make that label any shape you would like.
You have to open the card to see the rest of the sentiment.

I used the 2022-24 In Color Matte Dots to embellish the front. The double bow is tied with 2022-24 In Color Baker's twine. You cut two pieces long enough to tie a bow and put them together so you'll have a double bow. You tie them at the same time.

Did you see the envelope? I stamped a cherry and stem in the corner.

Here's the video on my You Tube Channel:
