Humming Along with lovely Flowers, too

Hummingbirds and Flowers

A perfect match!!

The stamp set called Humming Along in the new Occasions catalog is just so pretty. It can be purchased individually or as a bundle with the Hummingbird Framelits Dies. When I got home from On Stage, I HAD to make the two sample cards featured on page 36. Mine aren't exact but they are still so pretty.

I used Brusho Crystals to make the hummingbird. There is a learning curve using them but for my first attempt, it looks pretty nice.

Here's one I designed:

Are you wondering what is that Designer Series Paper? It is from the Needlepoint Nook DSP on page 39 of the Occasions catalog. The checked DSP is Gingham Gala. I know, you probably wouldn't have mixed these two but they were laying on my stamping table together like that. I walked away and the next day when I came back, it just looked right so I went with it. So, what do you think?

Would you like to have this bundle? How about getting it with a 20% discount? Join my team of Bright Star Stampers and you can add this to your Starter Kit. During Sale-A-Bration you can choose $175 in products for only $99! Plus you get free shipping. There is no obligation to sell anything. Need more details? Let's talk.

That's all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Until next time,
Mary Lou

Amazing Life

How pretty is Amazing Life paired with Gingham Gala!

The new Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies add interesting detail to the elements of the card. You can't see it in this picture so let me give you a close up:

Can you see it now? The stitching along the piece of Grapefruit Grove Designer Series Paper and each of the Whisper White rectangles.

I used all the colors in the Gingham Gala DSP to make this card to show that it works no matter what color you use.

Balmy Blue would be a great color for a guy, don't you think? Not too feminine even with the little Baker's twine bow. I need to straighten that bow and take a new picture. Love the little sparkle that those Gingham Gala sequins add. Not sure I really like the color for the cake. I used Stampin' blends to color the word 'Cake' and the cake.

This card uses Highland Heather, my favorite color.

How about Daffodil Delight? It's bright and happy!

Lemon Lime Twist is the fifth color. I hope this color stays when the new catalog comes out. It is a great color of green.

Such a great stamp bundle.

Sale-A-Bration is in full swing. Earn free products with order of $50 and more. Great time to stock up or get that stamp you've had your eye on. Need a catalog? Email me and I will be happy to send you one.

It was Meant to Be

I am so excited to be part of Kylie's Demonstrator Blog Hop this month.

Today I am featuring a new stamp set out of the new Occasions catalog called Meant to Be!

This is a gorgeous new set with a Valentine theme

Meant To Be bundle  includes Meant to Be stamp set and Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.

This stamp set is perfect for Valentine cards but it can also be used for birthday. For instance, this card says "You make me happy" on the front so it's what you put on the inside that would make it a Valentine  card or whatever purpose you need.
I used the Happy Valentine's Day for the inside but for my class I am going to offer Happy Birthday or Happy Mother's Day.

Cardstock colors used are Lovely Lipstick, Powder Pink and Whisper White.
Ink colors are Balmy Blue and Lovely Lipstick

I cut a heart out of the All My Love Designer Series Paper with one of the heart framelits and layered it under the pretty outline heart.

Did you notice the heart border? First I tried using just the outline shape but it was a bit boring so I started adding back some of the hearts randomly and I really love the look now. There are so many possibilities with these framelits.

Totally different look using the same bundle of products.

For the gold foil paper I used the new Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder. Wow!! What detail and texture it adds. Then I cut it out with one of the heart framelits. You'll notice the white heart is stamped then cut out in two pieces. I popped the middle up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The piece of Designer Series Paper is from the All My Love DSP
Cardstock used Whisper White and Gold Foil Paper.
Ink Colors used were Balmy Blue and Lovely Lipstick

The Whisper White Flax Ribbon adds beautiful detail and is so easy to work with. It is 5/8" wide but for this card I pulled it apart for a lighter look. The 1/4" Flirty Flamingo ribbon is the from the All My Love Ribbon combo pack.

This bundle would qualify for a free product during Sale-A-Bration
For every $50 you spend, you get free product.

Interested in learning more about getting a discount on your order? NOW is the time to join my team. You get $175 worth of Stampin' Up! products for only $99, that is $50 more free product that usual.
You could purchase the products to make these projects for your starter kit, it's up to you. You are under NO obligation to sell, have workshops or do anything except enjoy your 20% discount.
