Is it Snowman Time?

The new Holiday catalog went live last week and I know you have a long list of beautiful stamps, punches, bundles, embellishments, kits, and ideas to use. So excited to show you this adorable snowman! He is one of the stamps in the stamp set called Snowman Season on page 19.

Here is one of the cards we'll be making in a couple of weeks at my card class. This snowman makes me smile.

Do you have those Nested Stitched Dies yet? They are so versatile and work great with this stamp. The Designer Series Specialty Paper is so pretty. Some of the sheets have texture and sparkle! I layered it on Shaded Spruce cardstock. The sentiment is stamped with Coastal Cabana. Did you notice the red snowballs? I used the Red Rhinestones to give the card some sparkle. This card just makes me smile!

Every now and then Stampin' Up! offers specials. This month you can buy 3 packages of select DSP and get a fourth package free. There are 10 choices, check it out here.

Beautiful Friendship

What is your favorite color? Mine is orchid, purple, in fact, any shade of purple. I am using the stamp set called Beautiful Friendship this week. It looks absolutely beautiful in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.

Here's the card I created for my card class using Beautiful Friendship:

.
A photo does not do this card justice. It is so pretty. I used Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Don't you just love the bling? Those are rhinestones are the Noble Peacock rhinestones. I used two of the Gorgeous Grape and one Old Olive. I love the sparkle!! This card is a simple, easily copied design that even new stampers can make, don't you think?

Here is the stamp set. The sentiments are very useful and those flowers are so pretty. I am going to try it in different colors because I think they will be just as pretty.

Wondering what else is going on at Stampin' Up?

Scalloped Note Cards are a must have!

It's that time again: Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop, that is!!

The summer is flying by but there is still time to play with my stamps. I have so many new sets that need to be used.

I wanted to use the Scalloped Note Cards

These cards come in four colors and include the matching envelope. Something a little different from a Whisper White card base.

My card for today features a strip out of the Designer Series paper called Woven Threads. This sheet looked really nice with the Powder Pink Scalloped Note card. The flower is from the Floral Essence stamp set and is inked in Flirty Flamingo. The darker flower is stamped first and the lighter flower is stamped without reinking. Even though the notecard is Powder Pink, the flowers look great with it. Don't you agree? The leaves are stamped in Old Olive and punched out with the Leaf Punch. Those rhinestones sparkle and finish off this card. Notice the little strip of DSP along the bottom? I just love that touch.

We'll be making this card at my Card Class on August 22. It is just so pretty in person. Want to come? Just email me.

Another of My Favorite Bundles

Today My Favorite is the Daisy Lane Bundle!

So happy to be part of Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop this month. There are always such beautiful projects I feel a little out of place but I'll be brave and share my creations.

I have been featuring my favorite bundles out of the new catalog. So far, Good Morning Magnolia  and Free As A Bird Bundles have been my faves. It is so hard to pick just one for my favorite. So maybe this should be my favorite of the week. This week I am using the Daisy Lane Bundle.

For inspiration, I used the catalog! That's what we have it for and sometimes it is a great starting point.

At my recent event I designed a card for a first time attendee because I wasn't sure if she had ever stamped before. She loves art and had no problems stamping, coloring and assembling the cards I offered. So this little card is just sitting there waiting for its chance to shine.

It is a simple stamping card except for punching out the flowers. I can jazz it up for my next class and they will love it! I used the general layout of the catalog sample above but chose different colors and only one flower.

Here's my stepped-up version of this card.  I changed out the color scheme. Pretty Peacock and Terracotta Tile look great together. I used the Basket Weave 3D embossing folder on the Terracotta Tile DSP.  To make the flower more prominent I stamped it on Whisper White and cut it out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies. The center of the flower is a Faceted Die. The sentiment is punched with the 1 3/8" Scallop Punch and mounted on a  3/4" Circle punch (oops, that is retired but the 1/2" punch would work). I like this card so much better!

Here's the latest Stampin' Up! news (in case you missed it) :

If don't know why Bonus Days is so exciting, let me explain.  For every $50 you order before July 31 (before shipping and tax), you earn a $5 Bonus Days coupon code that can be used August 1–31. You must have an email address in order to get your code. Do Not delete this email because Stampin' Up! cannot replace it! You can earn multiple codes with one order. Get out your wish list and shop. My online store is open all the time.

This promotion is so nice. The best time to join my team is when you get extra products in your starter kit!!
Between now and August 31, join Stampin' Up! for $99 and get $155 new products in your starter kit. That is $30 more than usual. PLUS, you get a $10 coupon code to spend the month after you join.
No requirements to sell anything. You can join just for the discount. Yes, really. I would love to talk to you more about this. Email me now before you forget!

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Stamping,

Bonus Days Are Here!!

What' better than a sale?

Getting a coupon to spend later! It's like money in your pocket to spend next time you visit a store. My Online Store is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for your shopping convenience.

Here is how Bonus Days works. It's really very simple. For every $50 you spend in July, you get a $5 coupon to spend in August. To qualify, the order has to be over $50 before shipping and tax. There is no limit to the number of coupons you can earn.

Here's an example: if your order is between $50-99, you earn one $5 coupon code. For orders between $100-149, you earn two $5 coupon codes. I think you see the trend. Spread the news, share with a friend, don't miss out on this great deal! Here's where to shop: My Online Store

Can I have more than one favorite?

Sure, I can!

Bird Ballad Suite on page 91 of the Annual Catalog is my NEW favorite!!!

I know I said Magnolia Lane Suite was my favorite but Bird Ballad Suite is my very favorite in the new Annual Catalog. Ok, I'm going to say that it is because look at that Designer Series Paper! I love birds and flowers and this suite offers all of that.

This cute card is the one of the Make & Takes we made at On Stage using products from the Bird Ballad suite. We'll made this at my last Card event. I have seen so many color schemes for those birds, I used Stampin' In Blends in Daffodil Delight (Item #144603) to color mine. If you haven't tried coloring with Stampin' blends, you are missing a treat. See the list of supplies used to make this card at the end of the post.

Here's the full card:

Did you notice this card on page 15? It was part of a the layout about Designer Series Paper. This DSP is called Bird Ballad Designer Series paper (Item #149592). The trim along the right side is called Woven Threads Trim (Item #149499) It adds interest and texture to the card. Love it!!

Bird Ballad Suite (Item #152190)

You can see why Bird Ballad Suite is my new favorite. It is so easy to just keep making cards with this stamp set and DSP. Would you like to make some cards with me? I would love to share the directions for these cards. Order the Bundle (151123) and I'll email you a PDF of the instructions.

Do you have some favorites? Would you like to get yours with a discount? The best way to get it all and not pay full is price is to purchase the starter kit and join my team of Bright Star Stampers. Read more about it here. I'd love to share creativity with you!!

Thanks for stopping by.
