Watercolor Melon Little Hello Card

Hello, friends! Thanks for stopping by. I have a pretty card for you today using brand new FREE merchandise. Who doesn't love new?

Thursday, Jan. 4, was an exciting day for Stampin' Up! enthusiasts: a brand new catalog released! Plus it's time for Sale-a-bration. What is that, you ask? You earn FREE products with each $50 order. Win, win.

This card uses one of the new stamp sets that is free with $50+ order. It is called Watercolor Melon. I love the color combo on this card-Poppy Parade and Lemon-Lime Twist. The pretty plaid paper is called Glorious Gingham DSP. I stamped the watermelon in Mossy Meadow.

The stamp set is photopolymer. The slices of watermelon have two stamps, one for the meat of the watermelon and one for the rind plus seeds. It is a very realistic look, don't you think?

Here is the link for the video that shows how I made this card.

Cutting Instructions:
Card Base is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
Poppy Parade layer is cut 4 x 5 1/4"
Glorious Gingham DSP is cut 3 3/4" x 5"
Basic White layer is cut 3 x 3 3/4"
Note: be careful when you are stamping to orient the panel the direction you want the card to go. I intended to make a portrait card but I stamped the panel in the wrong direction and had to make this card landscape. Oops!

Brand New Catalog is now Live!

Stampin' Up!'s brand new catalog went live today, Jan. 4, 2024. The Jan-April Mini Catalog is full of beautiful products. My favorite suite of products is the Bee Mine collection. You can find it on page 8. Download this catalog and flip through it. If you don't have a demonstrator and would like a paper copy of this catalog, please email me. Click HERE to to get my email address.

Now let's get down to business and let me tell you about this card. This card makes me happy! The Bee Mine photopolymer stamp set has 24 stamps so using them takes a lot of steps. There are 3 different set of eyes! The body and wings are two-step stamping. Check out my video over on my You Tube channel to see how to make this card.

In case you were wondering, the Square Pillow box is part of the suite. They would make cute gifts for any time of the year.

Slant Front Card using Winter Meadow DSP

Hello!
I have another Christmas card for you today. I call this a slant front card but I think it's really a z-fold card. Either way it shows off the designer series paper, don't you think? That sparkly layer is unfortunately sold out but that's the piece I started with when I was designing this card.

The stained glass angel is from the So Very Merry stamp set. That set is no longer available but maybe you purchased it and need inspiration. I tried to choose Stampin' blend colors that would coordinate with the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper. I chose Bubble Bath for the angel wings because I can't find my Moody Mauve blends (go figure).

Wondering about cutting instructions? My daughter, Susan Fox-Bowen, is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and has written up a very nice tutorial. She gave me permission to link to hers. Thank you, Susan!   Tutorial Here: Susan's blog

Video on my You Tube Channel is Here

The sentiment on the inside has its own Basic White panel and is from the So Very Merry stamp set.

Here is an alternate coloring option using Berry Burst

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.
