One More Thing:

This May, you are in for a treat. Paper Pumpkin has teamed up with Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up's! board chair and co-founder, to deliver you a very special Paper Pumpkin kit.

The look and feel of this kit is all Shelli. It's elegant, feminine, and so full of springtime details that you'll probably just want to take a walk, breathe in the fresh air, and then go home and stamp every card in the kit. And the box it comes in? I predict that you'll be keeping it. Wait and see.

In order to receive the Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit, you must have an active subscription by May 10!

Here is my personal link to get signed up: Paper Pumpkin

I believe that is everything happening for now. I would recommend getting your retiring products ordered soon or you may miss out.

Contact me with questions, concerns, help with ordering, how to use your products, etc. I am here to help.

Until next time,

Getting Ready for OnStage!

It's that time: Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop AND OnStage Local.

I am so excited to be part of both events. What better card to feature for the blog hop than the one I am making for the card swap at OnStage? So, first I had to pick out which stamp set I wanted to use. That is not easy with all the choices in the Annual catalog and the Occasions catalog but I wanted to use up some of the Designer Series Paper so I picked that out first. It all came together in to this card:

Isn't it a beautiful day? Love What You Do is such a nice stamp set and that embossing folder is just the best.

This is pretty much how I started laying out the card. If I am having trouble designing a card, I like to set out the parts of card and walk away for a while. When I come back, if I like what it looks like, I am ready to put it together. If not, I rearrange some and figure out what I need.

The Lovely Floral embossing folder adds so much detail I hated to cover it up very much. Isn't it pretty?

I have added one little pearl out of the Share What you Love Artisan pearls. You know we have to embellish!

I will be swapping this card with very few people at On Stage because time is limited and I will only make about twenty cards. I am so excited to be going to San Antonio here in Texas. I live in North East Texas so it's about a 7 hour drive, way cheaper than flying.

Here's one more look at my Love What You Do card.

While you are here, have you seen the new Storage by Stampin' Up?? See what you have missed in my online store

Seriously, if you have any of our ink pads, markers, Stampin' blends, reinkers and embellishments, this storage system is made to order.

If you need more info, here's a flyer to answer your questions. Need help figuring out how to assemble your storage? Here are some suggestions.

Thank you so much for hopping by.

Until next time,

Going, Going, Gone!

It's time to say goodbye to Sale-A-Bration.

Time flies when you're having fun.

What has been your favorite product that you could earn free during Sale-a-bration? I can't pick out just one. I love chickens so on the top of my list is Home To Roost.

Probably my next favorite is Hello Cupcake. The framelits made this stamp set even better but unfortunately, they went quickly and are no longer available. But there is always 'fussy cutting' with your own paper snips.

Then how about that cute So Hoppy Together? I don't really like frogs but this stamp set is so cute.

The last stamp set that I really liked is the Lovely Lattice. It makes the prettiest cards no matter what color you make those roses.

Know what the best part about Sale-A-Bration really is?
It is the perfect time to join my team! During SAB you get extra product for your investment. Yes, I call it an investment but it can be as simple as being a hobbyist and getting your discount (that's like using a coupon every time you shop).

There are two options that expire March 31.

Option 1: Get $175 worth of Stampin' Up! products for $99. That is $50 more than it will be April 1st. Plus, you have the 20% discount to use on your future orders. There is no requirement to sell or have classes.

Option 2: Get $175 worth of products Stampin' Up! PLUS the exclusive Craft & Carry Tote for just $129! Pick your starter kit and shipping is free. What a deal! The best part is the 20% discount (can be 25 %) you get on future orders.

Like I said, this is the BEST time to be part of this amazing Stampin' Up! family. Contact me if you have questions and I will be happy to talk about what I love.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Stamping,
Mary Lou

Healing Hugs

How about a hug?

A gentle, healing hug delivered in a card.

The Healing Hugs stamp set on page 110 of the Annual catalog is one of Stampin' Up's new DistINKtive stamps. It has deeply etched images so you get a superior stamped impression each time. The detail is amazing.

Here are a few samples using different color combinations. My favorite color is Highland Heather so that had to be one of the color combos I tried. That flower and leaves (stamped in Pear Pizzaz) have such detail. No need to stamp off to achieve this look. The stamp is etched in such a way that it takes ink in different amounts. I know I don't understand how to shadow to add depth but with a DistINKtive stam, I don't have to do that. You have to see this in person to really appreciate the detail.

I used the same layout but different colors to see how the detail would show up. We are using this color combo in my March card class. Balmy Blue is so soft and maybe a little masculine. I think a man would like to get this card if he's needing well wishes. Pear Pizzaz for the leaves and ribbon still works, too. What I did do different for this card, I fussy cut the rose out and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

If your ink pad is very juicy, it does blur the details. I stamped the main image on this card in Petal Pink then stamped it off several times. The stamp still had enough ink to give detail as it got lighter with each stamp. It created a very pretty background. The leaves are Pear Pizzaz. The ribbon is Pool Party 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon. I used the new Sale-A-Bration punch for the sentiment called Story Label Punch.

Back to my favorite color: Highland Heather. I have these pretty cards ready to send to someone who needs a hug.

Let me tell you about the best deal in Stampin' Up:
During Sale-a-bration you can purchase this kit for $99 and choose $175 in products. That is $50 more than the rest of the year. The best part of this deal is the 20% discount. No pressure to buy anything else but if you do, you save 20%!! Let's talk about what I love: making pretty projects with some high quality products: Stampin' UP!

This Craft & Carry Tote can be yours in your starter kit for $129.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Until next time,

Mary Lou
