Wonderful Thoughts Gift Card Holder

Need a gift card holder? This one is perfect for a wedding or birthday and is easy to make.
The stamp set is called Wonderful Thoughts and has so many meaningful sentiments. The Designer Series Paper is called Delightfully Eclectic. It's one of the 'super' packs of DSP because it has 48 sheets of paper, 4 sheets of 12 designs and it's two-sided.

Other supplies include Night of Navy cardstock, vellum cardstock and Crushed Curry cardstock.

You'll need a circle punch, I used the 2" punch but you can also use our new 2 3/8" circle punch. That pretty ribbon is one of the rolls in the Sheer Ribbon Combo pack.

Here are the cutting instructions:

Card base is cut of out Night of Navy: 4 1/4" x 11". Score on the long side at 2 3/4" (just a tad shy) and 5 1/2". Use the circle punch to nip out a notch for the gift card. Use Tear N Tape along the top and bottom edges only to adhere this flap to the next flap.

Designer Series Paper:
Cut a piece 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to the side that will be the inside of the card. Pay attention to direction of print on your DSP! Wait to put the white liner in until you have done the front of the card.

Cut another piece of the DSP (same pattern as the inside): 4" x 2 12" and adhere to front on the folded flap.
Cut a coordinating piece of DSP 2 3/4" x 4" and adhere to a 3" x 4 1/4" Basic White cardstock. Adhere to the front flap so it is centered
Now adhere a 3" x 4 1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock to the center of the inside of the card so it matched the front piece and can't be seen when the card is closed.

Stamp the desired sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Basic White cardstock. If you have the dies that coordinate with Wonderful Thoughts, use the die. If not, fussy cut around the words.
Punch a 2 3/8" Vellum Circle. Die cut Basic White flower and a Crushed Curry using the Wonderful Thoughts dies or an appropriate substitute.
Layer all 3 pieces and the sentiment to the card front. Add a bow with a Mini Glue dot.

Here is the video I did making this card. This layout is great using other papers. I have a Christmas card made that I'll be showing after my card class.
