Just dropping by today to say Happy 4th of July! It's the birthday of the United States of America. I am so glad I was born in the USA where we are free to worship and gather without fear of retribution. This country may have its flaws but it is home to so many people who chose to come and become a citizen. The land of the free because of the brave.
Enough of that, let's talk cardmaking and crafting. Did you know it is World Watercolor month? No? Me either but Stampin' Up! does and we are making it a big deal. We have what you need to color: Pencils, paper, stamps, and more. You’ll need the basics: Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Water Painters, and Watercolor Pencils. You can also use Classic Stampin’ Pads and Refills.
Remember practice makes perfect-that particularly applies to watercoloring. The nice thing about it, you can't mess it up. If you do, it's only paper, just start over.
Happy Fourth of July Weekend! Hope you and yours enjoy time together as we celebrate this great county-The United States of America!
I have another pretty card for you today. It features the Hues of Happiness Suite on pages 108-109 of the Annual catalog.
The card base is Night of Navy cardstock cut 4 1/4" x 11 and scored at 5 1/2", making this a top fold card. The Parakeet Party layer is cut 3 3/4" x 5" and the Hues of Happiness DSP is 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". The pretty ribbon is 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon in Parakeet Party. It is tied around the top layers.
I used the Happiness Abound stamps for the sentiment on the Daffodil Delight circle that was die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Here is the first card I want to share with you
I love the combination of products on this card. The Symbols of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper retires on June 30 but I wanted to feature it one more time. Blessings of Home bundle remains current. The Heart & Home doilies also retire. Notice the vellum overlay on the DSP? It gives the card such soft look.
Here are the cutting sizes:
Basic White Cardstock is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
Symbols of Fortune DSP is cut 5 1/4" x 4"
Vellum is cut 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
The great thing about this card: you could use any paper you have! I would love to see your adaptations. For your shopping convenience, the products I used are listed below.
